Practice Focus
Alan represents seriously injured clients throughout Florida in automobile accidents, catastrophic and brain-injury cases, premises liability, defective and dangerous product claims, and wrongful death. He was among the first attorneys in Florida to represent injured Uber and Lyft passengers, an area of law that grew directly out of his decades of automobile-accident trial work. He handles cases ranging from everyday collisions to the most complex, high-stakes injury claims.
Experience and Results
Alan earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law and was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1975, giving him more than 45 years of trial experience. He founded the firm in 1978 and has led it ever since, building a practice whose attorneys have together won over $100 million in verdicts and settlements for injured clients. Among his own record results, Alan tried Riles v. Bonaventure Golf Course, where after a two-week trial the jury returned a verdict reported as the highest ever recorded in the United States against a country club, with the client ultimately collecting more than $3.3 million after the award was upheld on appeal. He also served as co-counsel on a $23.5 million automobile-negligence verdict reported as a state record at the time.

A native of New York, Alan graduated with honors from Syracuse University before earning his law degree at the University of Miami School of Law. He is a member of the North Dade Bar Association and the Florida Bar Trial Lawyers Section. Beyond the courtroom, Alan is deeply committed to his community, serving as President of the Citizens Advisory Committee for Intracoastal Police Station 6, sitting on the Board of Directors of the North Dade Bar Association, and volunteering with the North Miami Beach Optimist Club to organize the annual Special Olympics.
